Hydrating Chia Water

Chia seeds help to balance electrolytes and keep you hydrated.  Here, my simple recipe for chia water to prevent summer dehydration.

INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp chia seeds
8-10 oz glass of water
optional: slice of fresh lemon

DIRECTIONS:

Using the whole chia seed (not ground), stir into the water and let sit for 15 minutes until the seeds absorb some of the water.  Add a slice of fresh lemon.

Enjoy!

  • Thanks for this advice, I already use coconut water and it’s great (if expensive), but will certainly try this too. Chia also has omega 3’s which we mostly don’t get enough of (most people have too much omega 6 though)
