Iced Green Tea Elixir

This twist on the classic iced tea is a powerful elixir, combining phenomenal green tea with fresh mint and ginger for mood boosting and digestive-supportive benefits.  It’s super healthy and of course, delicious.


6 cups water
4-5 bags of green tea
1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
⅓ cup raw honey
6-8 fresh mint leaves
1 lemon


Bring the water and ginger to a boil.  Remove from heat.  Add fresh mint and green tea bags.  Steep for 10-15 minutes, covered.  Then, strain.

Add the honey and juice of ½ lemon.  Cool, then refrigerate until chilled.

Serve plain or with fresh mint and slices of lemon.

    Sounds wonderfully refreshing. And I just happen to have wild mint growing in my creek bed. I’m al set to enjoy this.
