Hemp seeds are a nutritional powerhouse with a mild flavor, making them a great alternative to traditional dairy milk. Here’s my favorite recipe for hemp milk, perfect in your morning smoothie, breakfast cereal or try it with raw cacao for a healthy after-school indulgence. Yum!
2 cups water
1/3 cup hemp seeds
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp coconut sugar (optional)
Blend hemp seeds, vanilla, coconut sugar (optional) and water until smooth. Using a nut milk bag, squeeze gently to strain the milk over a large bowl. Leave pulp inside of bag and discard.
For chocolate milk, blend in raw cacao to desired taste.
