Hemp seeds are a nutritional powerhouse with a great mild flavor, making them a perfect addition to this superfood truffle. Great as an afternoon snack.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup cacao + extra for dusting
1/4 cup almond flour
1/4 cup coconut oil, warmed to a liquid
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp hemp seeds
DIRECTIONS:
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add in maple syrup and coconut oil to form a dough. Roll into balls. Roll prepared balls in the extra cacao. Refrigerate 2-3 hours before serving.
Note: The amount of coconut oil may need to be adjusted (slightly more or less) depending upon your kitchen environment and brand of ingredients.
Makes 16 balls.
