Roasted Sweet Potato Crisps

Sweet potato fries are the perfect healthy upgrade to traditional french fries. Not only do sweet potatoes have excellent nutritional value, they are also part of a class of “sweet vegetables” that are helpful in curbing sweet cravings.

Ingredients:
3 sweet potatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
cayenne pepper

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Peel the sweet potato. Then slice into 1/8 inch rounds. Lightly coat with olive oil, being careful not to use too much oil or the potatoes will become soggy. Spread out the potatoes on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Season with salt, garlic, and cayenne pepper to taste.

Bake for 15 minutes, then flip the potatoes. Bake another 15-20 minutes or until crisp.
