Frequently Asked Questions

I’m ready to get started! what’s next?

I am so excited that you have decided to take this very important step in your life and health. The first step into my private practice is to schedule a clarity call with me. This is a complimentary 30-minute phone call to discuss your nutrition, health and wellness goals and ensure we are a good fit.

How does a remote consultation work?

Once we make the determination that we are a good fit, you will be given access to my private client portal. Here is where we will communicate through scheduling, emailing, and video conferencing. Your private labs, documents, and nutrition resources will all be accessed through the private client portal as well.

Can I order supplements?

I do offer a selection of professional grade supplements that have been handpicked for quality. They can be purchased through my online dispensary at Fullscript and shipped directly to you. Additionally, I may recommend other specialty supplements during private consultations that may be purchased directly through my office. You are not required to purchase supplements from me, but may be eligible for discounts in doing so.

Do you accept insurance?

Functional medical and nutrition practices are often not covered by insurance. While I may not participate with your insurance, I can still provide you with the official documentation you need to seek reimbursement. While this is not a guarantee, many clients have had success with this.

As of 2024, I am currently accepting Aetna and United Healthcare in Connecticut. I do not participate with insurance companies in New York at this time. Check back here for up-to-date insurance information.

I do not accept Medicaid, as Medicaid does not cover nutrition services in a private practice setting.

Can you prescribe medication?

It is out of my scope of practice to diagnose health conditions or prescribe medications. However, I will work with various healthcare practitioners on your team as needed.
