Why Detox? Your Fall Edition.

Fall’s finally here in NY. The excitement of new teachers and activities has dwelled, and the girls are falling into a comfortable routine.

For me, early Fall is a time of reflection. I’m reminded of how quickly time flies and I’m so thankful for what I have today. The girls are truly healthy, making choices that support their health daily not because they have to but because they want to.

When I reflect back to where things were eight years ago, I remember not just their struggle, but my own. For years, I struggled with digestive issues which opened the door to a 2-year battle with Lyme disease and a pretty lengthy recover that followed.

I remember feeling confused over the vast amount of information out there; feeling like I had no idea who to trust; wanting to throw my hands up in the air, and scream “I give up!”.

So, whatever your struggle is… I get it. I’ve been there. And, I know what to do to help you feel really well.

What I’ve found through my own struggles, my formal education, and my work with clients is that there’s no one diet that works best for everyone. Living a healthy lifestyle is about finding the right fit. Just like finding that perfect pair of jeans.

I’ve learned that we are what we eat… and we are what our bodies can do with what we eat. If your digestive system is weak, you’re not absorbing the nutrients from your food. And, if you’re not absorbing nutrients, you can’t be healthy… even if your diet consists of quinoa and kale!

I believe that food really matters, and am incredibly drawn to helping people like you learn how to eat to heal and to thrive.

I know that the best way to get a clean slate, strengthen your digestive system, and tap into your body’s natural intuition is to do a detox.
